Description

This is a late 18th century cottage that was extended in the 19th century. It is constructed of brick, with an old plain tile roof. Originally a three-bay, two-story cottage, it has been extended to the right with a single bay and to the left with two bays, though the left extension is only half the width of the original house. A 20th-century gabled porch with a blind opening above shelters a 19th-century three-panel door with a transom. The ground floor has a small 16-pane sash window to the left, a two-light casement window to the right with a segmental rubbed brick arch, and a four-light segmental head casement within the right bay extension. Two tiny 16-pane sashes are located in the left-hand bays. The first floor has three two-light casement windows and a wide two-light casement above the left bays. Brick stacks are located at each end of the original building, and one is situated behind the ridge of the right-hand extension.
