Description

No. 24 East Street is a house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of brick and has a tiled roof. The symmetrical front faces north and features two storeys and an attic with three windows. The walls are made of red brick in Flemish bond, with rubbed flat arches and stone cills. A parapet with stone coping and a deep dentilled brick band adds to its architectural detail. The doorway is a plain recessed archway made of rubbers, and above the six-panelled door, which is accessed by two stone steps, is a decorative fanlight. The house also has two flat-roofed dormers with casement windows.
