Description
Middle Hoe Cottage is a house that has been divided into two sections. It dates from the early 17th century and features a timber frame, with cladding added in the early 18th century and early 19th century, along with 20th-century rear extensions. The timber frame is exposed on the rear and west walls, with some brick infill, including herringbone patterns. The front wall is primarily made of flint with brick dressings and has cambered openings. The roof is hipped with tiles over the cross-wing and slate elsewhere. The building has a rectangular shape with a cross-wing at the west end, and the south front elevation is two storeys high with four windows. The windows are casements, and there are two 20th-century glazed porches.
