Description

This is a table tomb located 24 metres south-west of the porch at St. Peter's Church in Bishops Waltham. It dates from the early 18th century and is made of stone. The tomb features a rectangular shape with a moulded cover slab, plain corner pilasters, a moulded base, and a moulded panel. The inscription on the tomb refers to Thomas Mercer, who died in 1735.
