Description

A pair of table tombs, dating from around 1800, is located 7 metres south of the south aisle of St. Peter's Church in Bishops Waltham. These stone rectangular monuments feature moulded cover slabs and moulded bases. Each tomb has coupled oval panels on the long sides, with inscriptions that refer to James Penford, who died in 1797, and Sir Joseph Eyles, who died in 1806.
