Description

Nos. 8 and 9 High Street are two houses dating from the late 18th century. They feature walls made of yellow brickwork laid in English bond, with a cemented plinth and cambered arches. The rear block is rendered above the brickwork. The houses have a tile roof that continues from the adjoining public house, with a lower double pile at the back. The west front elevation is two storeys high, with an attic in No. 8, and has three windows, although the centre one is blank. The windows are 20th-century casements, and there are two boarded doors set in plain frames.
