Description
Nos. 15 and 15A on High Street is a building that dates from the mid-18th century and was originally three dwellings, now combined into two. The structure features brick walls with blue headers and red quoins, adorned with cambered arches, and is constructed in English bond at the sides and rear. It has a prominent tile roof that is hipped at the north end, with a moulded eaves band and one hipped dormer. The east front elevation has two storeys and an attic, with four windows that are fitted with 20th-century casements.
The entrance to No. 15 features a Victorian doorcase, complete with a cornice on brackets, pilasters, and a six-panelled door, two of which are glazed at the top. No. 15A has a six-panelled door in a plain opening, and there is a third doorway on the north side that has been filled in and features a small window. Above the doorway to No. 15A, there is an incised brick inscription that reads "1. Sabine 1762." There are also minor 20th-century rear outshots.
