Description

No. 14 High Street is a cottage dating from the 16th century, with alterations made in the early 19th century. The building features an exposed timber frame with brick infill, while the other walls are constructed of brickwork in Flemish Garden Wall bond. It has a hipped tile roof. The west front elevation has two storeys and two windows, with a ground-floor projection on the north side that is covered by a tile roof, which extends as a canopy over the entrance. The windows are casements, and the entrance includes a six-panelled door set in a plain frame. On the south side, there is a boundary wall made of brickwork above rubble stonework, which originates from the former priory.
