Description

The Hurdle House is a building from around 1864, constructed of flint with brick dressings and a slate roof. It has a rectangular shape and features brick lacing bands, quoins, window and door surrounds, and circular latticed air vents. This building is a rare type, specifically designed for the accommodation of hurdles used during the annual sheep fair, which was relocated to this field in 1864.
