Description
Barn Farmhouse is a house dating from the 17th century, with an 18th-century extension, creating an L-shape. The older section features exposed timber framing with brick infill, while the other walls are made of brick, with the front displaying blue headers, red quoins, and rubbed flat arches. The roof is tiled, with a catslide at the rear. The west front elevation shows the gable of the older part on the north side, and the house is two storeys high, with one and a half storeys above three windows, which are casements. There is an 18th-century gabled brick porch with a two-panelled door in a plain frame. A massive stepped stack is located on the north side. The rear of the house has wings on the north side, with the outer wing being the older part, both featuring coupled gables.
