Description

Bridge Cottage is a cottage dating from the 17th century, with a late 18th-century exterior and a late 20th-century extension. The building has rendered walls and a thatched roof. Originally timber-framed, it is one storey and has an attic with two windows. The roof is hipped and lower on the east side, which is a 20th-century addition, while the west end features low eaves above a former outshot that now serves as the entrance hall. The eaves have been raised above the upper windows. The walls are plain, and there is a buttress at the rear. The windows are casements, and there is a plain doorway. Inside, the cottage features old beams and a wide chimney breast that includes the remains of an oven.
