Description

This is an early 18th-century cottage located on Park Lane, Quarley. It is constructed of flint with a thatched roof. The front (north-east) elevation features one storey and attic, with a layout of one window above three. The roof is hipped at each end, with a catslide at the rear, and includes one eyebrow dormer to the front, and a large, tapered stack at the south-east end. The flint walls incorporate brick quoins, and a first-floor band with a chamfered soffit, rubbed flat arches, and a plinth. The windows are casements. A boarded door is set within a plain frame. A stone plaque inscribed “MP 1708” is affixed to the building.
