Description

Appletree Cottage is an early 18th-century cottage, later restored in the 20th century. It is timber-framed with a thatched roof. The cottage is one storey high with an attic, and has two windows on the upper floor and three windows on the ground floor. The roof has a hipped form, with eaves raised above the upper windows. The timber frame is exposed; the upper panels are plastered, while the lower panels are of brickwork, incorporating some banded brick and flint, and a cement plinth. The windows are casements, with one slightly projecting. The entrance is located at the rear of the property.
