Description

Phlox Cottage is an early 18th-century cottage, originally comprising two dwellings. It is timber-framed with a thatched roof. The main part of the cottage is one storey and has an attic, with three windows. The roof is hipped and lowered at the east end, above an outshot, and continues as a lower roof over a single-storey west extension, featuring eyebrow dormers. The timber frame is exposed, with rendered infill to the upper parts and brick to some lower panels, all standing on a brick plinth. Windows are casements. There are two boarded doors set in plain frames.
