Description
Hatchetts Inn is an inn that dates back to the 17th century and was altered and extended in the 18th century. It features a mix of rendered brick, old plain brick, and painted brick, topped with a slate roof. The original part of the building is one and a half storeys high and consists of three bays, with a low-roofed wing extending to the right at the rear. There is a late 20th-century addition to the right, which is two storeys high and has two bays.
In the left bay of the original section, there is a wide six-pane sash window, while the central bay has a 16-pane sash window, and the right bay features a wide 15-pane sash window. All windows have segmental heads. Above these, there are three gabled dormers with two lights each. The right-side addition has a plinth and full-height corner pilasters, and in the right corner, there is a six-flush-panel door. This addition also includes four 16-pane sash windows. The roof is hipped to the right, and the left gable is slate-hung with a chimney stack.
