Description
Manor Farm is a farmhouse that dates from the 17th century, with early 19th century and 20th century additions. The building is constructed of rendered brick. The early 19th century north range features a gabled slate roof and is attached to two earlier ranges that form an L-shape, both of which have plain tile roofs, including a gablet and catslide to the east and a half-hip to the south.
The north front of the farmhouse is two storeys high and consists of three bays. It has a dentilled eaves cornice and an off-centre doorway with a gabled porch. On either side of the doorway, there are single sash windows with cambered arches, and above, there are three similar sash windows. To the left, there is one bay from the earlier build that contains a single 20th century casement window.
Inside, there is an exposed 17th century main beam with a chamfer and jewelled stop in the ground floor room to the southeast. The building is reputed to have a queen post roof with clasped purlins.
