Description
Long Cottage is a range of cottages that has been converted into a single dwelling. It dates from the late 18th century, with some alterations made in the mid-19th century. The building is constructed of flint and render, topped with a thatched roof. It has an L-shaped layout, consisting of two storeys with three windows on one side and five on the other. There is a projecting wing on the north side that has one storey and an attic, featuring one upper window at the front. The roof is half-hipped. The walls are mint-colored with brick dressings and cambered openings, which are now painted. The wing has rendered cob, and some framing is exposed in the upper wall where the eaves have been raised. The windows are casements, and there is a boarded door located within an open porch that has a thatched canopy. There have been 20th-century alterations made at the rear and the north end of the building.
