Description

Redthorn Cottage is a house dating from the late 18th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed of brick and tile and features a symmetrical front facing east, consisting of two storeys and an attic with three windows. The steep hipped roof has brick dentil eaves and includes one 20th-century gabled dormer located to the north of the center. The walls are built in header bond and are currently painted, with cambered openings on the ground floor that are now masked. There is a plinth, casement windows, and 20th-century small splayed bays supported on brackets. The entrance features a six-panelled door, four of which are top-glazed, set in a plain frame and topped with a simple flat canopy.
