Description

Lilac Cottage is a house, originally two separate dwellings, dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of flint and brick, topped with a thatched roof. The front, facing south, has two storeys with four windows on the upper floor and three on the lower. The roof is hipped and extends to low eaves above an outshot at the eastern end, with lower eaves at the rear. The walls are made of rubble flint with brick quoins and an upper cill band, featuring some alterations including a blocked doorway, all of which are currently painted. The windows are casements, and there is a boarded door situated beneath a thatched hood supported by posts.
