Description

Martins Roost is a cottage that dates back to the 16th century but was altered in the 20th century. It features a timber-frame structure with plaster or painted brick infill and has an old plain tile roof. The building is one and a half storeys high and consists of three bays. On the left-hand side of the right bay, there is a 20th-century weatherboarded porch with a pent roof, and the door is located on the left side. To the right of the porch, there is a six-pane sash window, while the other bays contain two-light casement windows. Above the center, there is a large 20th-century five-light hip-roofed dormer. The roof is half-hipped, and there is a ridge stack above the door featuring two short diamond-shaped shafts.
