Description

Thatched Cottage is a house dating from the 16th century, with some 18th century cladding and 19th and 20th century extensions. The building features exposed timber framing, which shows crucks in the west gable, and painted brick infill. The other walls are made of painted brickwork in Flemish bond, with a plinth, and there is a 20th century half-timbered middle wing. The roof is half-hipped and thatched, with an eyebrow dormer, and tiles and slates above the outshots. The cottage has one storey and an attic, with irregular window arrangements and casements. There is also a small brick porch.
