Description
The stables north of Broadlands House are a building from the 17th and 19th centuries. They feature brick walls constructed in Flemish bond with blue headers, a moulded band at the first floor, rubbed flat arches at the ground floor, and a plinth. The roof is hipped and covered with tiles. This rectangular two-storey structure has a symmetrical design.
The north elevation consists of seven bays, with circular and oval openings on the upper level, and five windows and doorways on the lower level. The windows have leaded lights, with the lower ones set in mullion and transom frames. The wide doorways have plain frames and include two fanlights, leading to massive two-panelled doors. The south elevation mirrors the north but has a wide 20th-century opening in the centre. The west elevation features two circular openings above four windows, with a central doorway that is now blocked. The east elevation has five windows, with the upper ones being circular and oval.
