Description

Queen Anne Cottage and James Cottage are an unequal pair of cottages dating from the 17th century, 18th century, and early 19th century. They are timber-framed buildings with a thatched roof. The east front is wide and has two storeys with four windows. The frame is exposed in the center of the front and partly in the south gable, featuring painted brickwork and some rendered infill. Other walls consist of painted brick and render, while the south gable is made of flint with brick dressings. The cottages have casement windows and two plain doorways, one of which (Queen Anne) has a thatched canopy supported by posts.
