Description

The Thatch is a late 18th-century cottage located in Appleshaw. It is constructed of flint and brick, with some areas rendered, and features a thatched roof. The building has an L-shaped layout, with the front set back on the south side. There is a 20th-century extension to the north that serves as a garage. The cottage is one storey with an attic and has one and one windows. The gable faces the roadway, and there is an eyebrow window in the recessed section. The north side has low eaves. The exterior includes painted flint and brick with some rendered sections and a cambered opening. The windows are casements, and there is a six-panel door with two glazed panels located in the side wall.
