2/20 Stable, 15 metres east of Netherton House

GV II

Stable and coach-house. Late C18. Flint and brick, with a tile roof. Long. Single-storeyed range with a symmetrical elevation (west) towards the service courtyard south of the house. Hipped roof, brick dentil eaves. The centre is marked by 2 carriage openings beneath cambered arches: on each side is a symmetrical arrangement of an arched doorway (now filled on the south side) between 2 arched windows. The walls have horizontal flint panels; brick quoins, rubbed arches, verticals. The door has 4 panels beneath a 'fanlight' glazed panel. Outshot at the rear (of later date) with boarded walls and corrugated iron roof.
