Description
No. 82 on Middlebridge Street is a pleasant 19th-century building that features one storey and an attic. It is constructed from yellow stock brick and has a slate saddleback roof with wide, flat bracketed eaves. The main front, which faces the river, consists of three bays. In the attic storey, there is one window in the center, with the roof rising to form a gable above it. The sash windows are set in reveals and retain their glazing bars, framed by flat stone architraves and topped with a moulded stone cornice on brackets. On the ground floor, there are sash windows on either side of a large central porch, which is supported by two Greek Doric columns and flanked by square pillars at each end, with end pilasters. The porch features an entablature that includes a frieze, a moulded cornice, and a blocking course.
