Description

The Nursery Garden entrance portico, dating from the early 19th century, is a two-bay stone structure set on a stone-paved platform that is accessed by three steps at the front. It features rectangular corner piers and a square central pier, all topped with Greek Doric capitals and an entablature above. On either side, there are flanking brick walls that curve up to the portico. At the back of the portico, there is a six-panel door, with the upper four panels cut away and glazed, which leads into a small house that has been altered at a later date.
