Description

Water Cottage is a large 18th-century cottage that has been restored and extended in the 20th century. It is located in Abbotts Ann, Little Ann. The original main block, which was formerly a pair of dwellings, is one storey high with an attic, and has a facade of two windows over four. It features a ½-hipped thatched roof with a catslide at the rear. The eaves are raised above the upper windows and lowered above an open porch and an east-side verandah. The walls are rendered. The windows are casement style. The doorway is simple in design. A 20th-century extension, built in a similar style, is situated almost detached at the north-east corner of the property.
