Description
This is a late 18th and early 19th century farmhouse, with later additions. The north, or main, facade is asymmetrical. It is constructed of painted brick with a timber eaves plate set below the present eaves, and has a slate roof. The two-story structure has six windows of varying sizes, featuring irregularly placed sash windows with glazing bars, and one small original leaded casement window on the ground floor. A late 19th or early 20th century extension exists to the east, with four windows and incorporating a large Gothic window that was moved from another location. A wooden porch is present. A lantern and dormers were likely added with the early 19th century roof. The interior was remodelled in the late 18th and early 19th centuries to include a large, low, square hall with timber ceiling beams. There's a contemporary open-well staircase featuring slender iron balusters and a ramped handrail, with an elliptical arch under the stairs leading to a corridor. An ornate plaster fireplace surround is located downstairs, and six-panelled doors are throughout.
