Description

Nos 49 and 50 High Street are an 18th-century pair of red-brick buildings. No. 49 has a parapet, while No. 50 has a tiled roof. The buildings are three storeys high and feature two window bays on each of the first and second floors. These windows are sash windows with glazing bars. The shop fronts are modern, though the shop front of No. 50 incorporates an altered, early 19th-century flattened bow window. The buildings are part of a group which includes the United Reform Church, the Old Manse, Nos 48 to 53 (inclusive), the front railings and gate to No. 48 (Bellevue House), and No. 77 opposite.
