Description

77 High Street is an 18th-century building with a cellar and attic. It is constructed of red brick, featuring a brick eaves cornice and a tiled roof. The building has two storeys and is characterised by two windows and a large, four-light canted bay window on the first floor. The windows are sash windows with flush frames and glazing bars. The shop front is of Georgian design, incorporating two shop windows with intact glazing bars and a central double doorway. Each window and doorway is flanked by Doric pilasters, with a cornice above the entire shop front. It forms part of a group which includes the United Reform Church, the Old Manse, number 48 (Bellevue House) with its front railings and gate, and numbers 49 to 53 opposite.
