Description
No. 87 High Street is probably an early 18th century building, although its facade has been rebuilt. It is constructed of red brick and features a wide eaves cornice and a tiled roof. The building has two storeys and two dormers with hipped roofs and unbarred sash windows. On the first floor, there is a cantilevered bow with a tiled roof and unbarred sashes, flanked by two blank panels. The ground floor has an advanced modern shop front. This building is listed for its group value, as it forms part of a group with Nos. 83 to 88, Blake's Cottage, and No. 85b, along with adjacent buildings of local interest.
