Description

No. 88 High Street is a building from the early 18th century featuring a stucco facade. It has a corbelled band above the first-floor windows, an eaves cornice, and a blocking course. The roof is partly tiled and partly slate. The building has two storeys and two dormers, with three windows on the front; the first-floor windows are unbarred sashes with flush frames. The ground floor has an advanced modern shop front. Nos. 83 to 88 form a group with Blake's Cottage and Nos. 85b and the buildings flanking it to the east and west, which are of local interest.
