Description

This village pump, dating from the 19th century, is located on the green, 10 metres south-east of Rose Cottage in Martin. It is made of cast iron and features a frame that supports an axle with a wheel at one end and a crank in the centre, which is connected to a pump rod. There is also a tap standing beside it. This pump is noted as an unusual survival from its period.
