Description

Mulberry House, originally the Vicarage, is a mid-18th century building in Fordingbridge, altered in the 19th century and converted to flats in the 20th century. The brick structure was later stuccoed and has a slate roof. It is two storeys high and five bays wide, with four bays visible from the front. A 19th-century central Doric porch with four steps on each side and a railing between the columns is a prominent feature. The porch has a six-panel door flanked by flush panels, a small cornice, and fluted pilasters supporting an entablature. To either side of the porch are two 12-pane sash windows with raised stucco keystones. A raised band marks the first floor, above which are five 12-pane sash windows. The roof has wide eaves and is hipped. External stacks are visible at the front of each side bay.
