Description
Nos 59 and 61 on Church Street in Fordingbridge are a pair of semi-detached houses built in the late 18th century and altered in the 19th century. They are constructed from painted or rendered brick and topped with a thatched roof. The buildings are two stories high and consist of two bays.
The left house (No 59) features a central four-panel door and a two-light casement window to the right, both set under cambered arches. The left bay includes a 19th-century shopfront with a four-panel door and a long 24-pane shop window, along with two-light casements on the first floor. The right house (No 61) has a central top-lit door beneath a flat hood supported by iron brackets, and it contains four six-pane sash windows. The roof is half-hipped on the left side and has a kneelered gable wall on the right side, with a central ridge stack.
