Description
The Police Station is a mid-19th century building constructed of brick with Roman cement and a slate roof. It is two stories high and has a three by two bay layout. The front features two doorways at the center and to the right of the center, each with top-glazed doors set in a doorcase with plain pilasters and an entablature above. To the left, there is a 9-pane sash window, and to the right, a double 6-pane sash window. All windows are framed with plain architraves that have raised keys and brackets supporting the sills. A raised band on the first floor is inscribed with the words 'County Police Station'. The first floor has three wide 6-pane sash windows. The building has wide flat boxed eaves and a hipped roof, with a stack located on the left hip.
