Description
The front pavilions of Fordingbridge Infirmary are a pair of buildings constructed between 1895 and 1897. They are made of brick with a slate roof and are positioned parallel to each other on either side of the central part of the main building, standing 10 meters in front. Each pavilion is a single storey with an attic, featuring six bays that are two bays wide. The ends of the pavilions have either two segmental-headed 16-pane sash windows with hood-moulds or one similar sash window, along with a central door and fanlight, and a blind opening. Above, there is a pediment gable with a keyed oculus. On the inner corner, there is a panelled brick pier with a ramp up over it. The inner side also has similar sashes and doors. On the outer side, the roof is cut away for the attic, resulting in lower eaves. These pavilions are included for their group value.
