Description
This is a vase on a pedestal, located 5 meters south of Somerley Park House. It is dated 'Coade, Lambeth, 1840'. The pedestal is made of Coade stone and has a square plan, featuring sphinx and ram's heads at the corners, along with swags on its faces. The vase itself has a fluted base and stem, with heads in relief on the bowl, decorated with vines and bunches of grapes below the rim, and twisted vine root handles. The vase is situated in a small enclosed garden immediately south of the house.
