Description

The screen walls to the courtyard on the west side of Somerley Park House were built in the mid-19th century and are made of brick and stone. They feature a brick plinth that varies in height due to the slope of the ground to the south. The walls have a moulded handrail, turned balusters, and square piers placed at 5-meter intervals, each topped with urns. The walls extend approximately 20 meters from the end bay of the house's screen walls, then include a 5-meter quadrant section that curves inward for another 5 meters, creating a wide entrance.
