Description
Home Farm Cottages is a farmhouse that has been converted into two dwellings, dating from the late 18th century and early 19th century. The building features walls of exposed framing with narrow brick panels, and the north side is rendered above a deep base made of stone and flint. The rear wing is partly timber framed and has a semi-circular end constructed of flint and stone with brick dressings. The roof is tiled and hipped at the south end, with a large stack that has four cylindrical flues. The north extension has a lower pitched hipped slate roof. The structure is two storeys high and has five windows, which are modern casements from the 20th century. The doors are plain, while the rear wing has a Gothic-style central doorway with a brick surround, a stone cornice, and brackets. On either side of the doorway are coupled windows (now filled) with ogee arches and impost blocks, below which are quatrefoils.
