Description

The forecourt walls and gateway at The Rookery date from the 17th century. The walls are constructed of brickwork in English bond and feature stone capping, which is raised at the corners. There are stone rusticated gatepiers that have moulded caps and ball finials. Wrought-iron gates are positioned above steps leading to the entrance. The piers include several inscriptions, one of which dates to 1703.
