Description
Dairy Cottages is a row of cottages that consists of two phases. The original structure dates from the 17th century and is timber-framed, while there is an extension from the 18th century on the east side, along with features from the 19th century. The cottages have an exposed frame with brick infill, and the east side is constructed in English bond brickwork. Notable architectural elements include cambered openings and a blocked central doorway. The roof is thatched, hipped at the west end, and features eyebrow dormers with lower eaves on the west side, while the east end is half-hipped. The cottages are one storey and attic on one side and two storeys on the other, with a total of two windows. Some windows have leaded glass, while others are cast-iron casements. The doorways are adorned with architraves and have boarded doors.
