Description

Cross Trees Thatched Cottages are a row of cottages, now two, dating from the 17th century with 18th-century cladding and extensions, and 19th-century features. The timber frame is exposed at the rear, with brick infill, while the front is rendered above a flint base wall, featuring stone quoins and boarded outshots. The cottages have a thatched roof with eyebrow dormers, hipped above the lower outshots. The wide east front is one storey and attic, with four windows and outshots at each end. There are early 19th-century cast-iron casements and two boarded doors in plain frames.
