Description
Little Dilwyn is a farmhouse that has been converted into two houses. It dates back to the 17th century and was extended in the mid-18th century, with some alterations made in the mid-20th century. The building features a timber frame with painted brick and rendered infill set on a rubble plinth, and it has been extended with painted rubble and a concrete tile roof. The layout is T-shaped, with a 17th-century cross-wing aligned north-west to south-east and another range to the north-east.
The main stack is located at the junction of the two sections and has a rectangular brick shaft. The south-west front is two storeys high and has three small 2-light casements on the upper floor. The ground floor features three larger casements and a fixed casement to the left. There is a central entrance with a lean-to plank canopy and a ledged and boarded door. The framing consists of four square panels high with straight angle braces. The northern gable was originally jettied but has since been underbuilt. The north gable truss includes three struts to the collar and V-struts in the apex.
