Description

A farmhouse dating to the 17th century, with significant later additions. The house is timber-framed with plaster infill, and built of painted rubble and brick, with a Welsh slate roof and various brick stacks. The plan is irregular. It is two storeys and an attic, with an irregular pattern of windows; most windows are 19th-century two-light casements. A plank front door has sidescreens under a simple porch. An advanced wing to the right is timber-framed with a 19th-century two-light casement to its gable. The right return side is roughcast with a variety of 19th-century casements. A 20th-century porch wing has been added to the rear, as well as semi-dormers with windows in a “Gothick” style. The interior includes exposed timber framing and a decorated plaster ceiling.
