Description

House and addition, now three cottages. The property dates from the mid-18th century, with an early 19th-century extension. It is constructed of painted and rendered brick with a plain tile roof. To the left, the original house (number 24) has three bays, while to the right is a four-bay addition, now divided into two cottages. The original house has two storeys and an attic, while the addition has two storeys. The left-hand house has been rendered to resemble ashlar. It features a six-panel door with the top four panels glazed, four-pane sashes, stepped eaves, hipped dormers, and end stacks. The cottages each have a four-panel door at the right-hand end, and four-pane sashes; those on the ground floor have cambered tops. A ridge stack is located in the right-hand bay. Alternatively, the left-hand house has a half-glazed door to the right of centre, three-light casements, and a toothed eaves. Dormer windows have leaded lights. The original house has an end stack. The cottages have a plank door at the right-hand end, and between the left-hand windows. The sashes have twelve panes, those to the right being set slightly higher. On the first floor, there are two-light casements.
