Description
Newnham House is a house, now used as an office, built in the early 19th century. It is constructed of brick and features a slate roof. The symmetrical front, facing west, has three storeys and three windows, topped with a hipped roof. The red brick walling is laid in Flemish bond and includes stone wedge lintels. The central section of the building projects slightly at the ground and first floors. The windows are Victorian sashes set within reveals. The doorcase has an open pediment, broken cornices, a frieze, and fluted pilasters, with an arched opening that includes a radiating fanlight and a six-panelled door accessed by steps. Inside, there are some panelled doors with architraves.
