Description
Seafield is an early 19th-century house located on Havant Road in Emsworth. The building is constructed of stucco and features a slate roof. Its symmetrical front faces east and includes semi-circular full-height bays on either side of the center, with a window arrangement of one over one over one. The hipped roof is topped with a parapet that has stone coping and a thin moulded band supported by coupled carved brackets, set against a fascia. The ground floor has rusticated detailing, with sash windows set in reveals and French doors leading to the exterior. The central window opens onto a balcony with a railing. The doorcase includes an architrave, a radiating fanlight, and a six-flush-panelled door. A notable feature of the house is the trellis work verandah that wraps around the north and south sides, topped with a copper convex roof. The other elevations are plain, but there is a large bow window on the north side, situated below the verandah. The boundary wall along the roadside is made of brickwork on a flint base, with sections of flint, meeting at the gateway. This gateway features a panelled door flanked by piers, each topped with a moulded cap and base.
