Description
The offices at Tweseldown Racecourse are a late 19th-century building. Constructed of red brick, the front facing east features a timber-framed design with painted pebbledash infill and a half-hipped tiled roof, which has alternating courses of plain and curved tiles. The building is single-storey and divided into two sections. To the east, there is a verandah supported by chamfered square posts and brick padstones, which includes three timber-framed gables, nine 12-pane sash windows, and one casement window. The rear elevation has similar windows with metal grilles. Inside, there is an original fireplace and dado panelling. The only alteration to the building is a small later 20th-century brick toilet addition to the northwest, which is not of special interest. This building is part of a group of small country racecourse structures that have seen little alteration.
